Junior Forest Wardens (JFW) is an exciting and educational opportunity for young people and their families to have fun, develop skills, and get educated in the many diverse aspects of our natural environment. JFW operates through clubs which meet regularly to participate in a variety of activities and to plan weekend outings.

Junior Forest Wardens is a family program for youths aged 6-17 (as of Oct 15th) based on the Four Pillars - Forestry, Ecology, Outdoor Skills and Leadership. In addition to regular club meetings, camps, hikes and other local programming, regional and national events are held, such as:
PT (Pathfinder/Trailblazers) Camp for Wardens aged 6 to 12 years .
AC (Adventurers/Challengers) Conference weekend for Wardens aged 12 to 18 years , which includes the JFW graduation ceremony.
Summer and Winter Outreach Trips for Wardens aged 12 to 18 plus adults members offering "high-end" programming such as canoe or kayak trips, backcountry hiking excursions, ice climbing, backcountry ski touring, mountain geology, dog sledding and much more with trained guides.
Fall Leadership Workshop weekend camp for leaders, parents and Wardens aged 15 to 18 (Challengers) to provide training opportunities for leaders, a networking opportunity for the exchange of information with peers from other clubs and hold our Fall GM.
Spring Conference weekend event for families, which includes our AGM and activities for all ages.
National Camp for all Wardens and their families held approximately every 3 to 5 years (week-long camping packed with activities for everyone).
Skills Challenges where members test their outdoor skills, and knowledge of the program and practice teamwork.
Courses such as Wilderness First Aid, avalanche training, etc.
We all travel the Milky Way together, trees and men... In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
The clearest way into the universe is through a forest wilderness.
